A cast copper alloy 'moustache-shaped' object of late Bronze Age or Iron Age date. The object has a narrowed body with two sweeping swollen drop shaped ends which taper towards pointed terminals, one of which terminates in a break. An incomplete strip of decorated gold ribbon, dating to the Bronze Age (2350 - 800 BC). The ribbon is rectangular in plan but has become bent in some areas probably due to post depositional damage. One edge of the ribbon has slightly rounded corners and does not appear to be broken unlike the opposite edge which appears to have been cut, resulting in one of the corners protruding jaggedly from the diagonal cut. The object is decorated on one side with nineteen parallel, incised grooves, these are evenly spaced except the first and last grooves which are set further in from the edges of…

An incomplete cast copper-alloy short flanged axehead, dating from the middle Bronze Age, about 1600 - 1200 BC. This corresponds with the Acton Park II, and Taunton metalworking Assemblages, that correspond with Needham Period 4 or 5. It is probably a short flanged axehead, maybe of Type Lissett, but it could also be a palstave. Corrosion, concretion and surviving wood obscure the details of the septum and hafting area, making identification difficult.
The axehead is mostly rectangular in cross section and the cutting edge is crescent-shaped, with the tips recurved back towa…

A copper alloy penannular ring or ring core of probable Bronze Age date (c. 1300-800BC). The ring is made from a circular sectioned loop with a moulded in feature around the outside circumferemce. It is wider in the middle than at the terminals. The material is quite degraded and only half of the ring survives, still, it is apparant that the terminal (the smaller diameter end) was flat. The wider end is more damaged and has been crudely broken. It may be a core onto which gold or silver would have been fixed and the finder comments that traces of gold may be pr…
