The crown is three pellets forming a trefoil in the centre with a band running across the head with a pellet at each end as terminals. The obverse legend reads X . III H. The reverse depicts a voided long cross with three pellets in each quarter. The legend reads TRE/ION referring to the mint at Exeter.

The crown consists of three pellets forming a trefoil in the centre above a band across the head which terminates at a pellet at either end. There are three pellets below the band on the forehead. The obverse legend reads HENRIC... The reverse depicts a voided long cross with three pellets in each quarter. The reverse legend reads RIC/ARD which denotes the moneyer.
