A complete cast copper alloy strap fitting of post-medieval date. The main body of the clasp is ovate in shape with a concave reverse and a transverse ridge at one end from which a bulbous double knoped terminal projects. The reverse of the knop is also concave and an iron rivet remains in place. A double transverse ridge is present at the opposite end of the object from which a looped hook projects, curving back on itself until touching the reverse of the fitting. An incomplete cast copper alloy strap fitting, in the form of a Jester's head, of Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval dating (AD 1400 to AD 1600). The strap fitting is cast in the form of a jester's head, moulded in high-relief. It has lentoid eyes with a sub-triangular nose and a horizontal groove representing the mouth. The head has a tight hood which forms a border around the face. The only decoration on the hood is a central knop which protrudes over the forehead. Post Medieval cast copper alloy fitting, probably from a strap or possibly a sword belt of 17th to 19th century date. The fitting has a rectangular loop and projecting at tight angles to the loop from one of the longer sides is a elongated tab. The tab is D shaped in section with a flat back and convex front. In plan it is broadly the shape of a circle above a pointed oval, ending in a rounded point. It is heavily corroded but there is extensive traces of tinning on the outer faces. An Early Medieval copper alloy incomplete strap fitting probably dating to the late 12th or 13th century. The upper side is undecorated; the underside carries two tapering mounting spikes. Both spikes remain in place. The mount has a light brown patina. It is 21.4mm long, 21.7mm wide and 9.1mm thick. It weighs 3.5gm.

Incomplete copper alloy cast strap fitting, medieval in date (c AD1250-1500). The object consists of a single piece of copper sheeting, sub rectangular in plan. One end tapers to a narrowed straight edge. The opposing end tapers to a similar shape but also has sub-triangular projections at either side (one now incomplete). One rivet and the remains of a second rivet hole survive at the projecting end. The sheet is bent slightly concave. The object has a mid green patina.

Copper alloy cast sheet plate strap end, medieval in date (c AD1150-1450). The sheet is sub-oval in plan with a trapezoidal attachment edge with pointed ends. The plate is flat in section. The edge would have fitted to a two-riveted bar mount. One tip of the attachment edge is snapped off with the remains of a rivet hole. There is a second rivet hole on the opposing edge tip, and a third rivet hole at the far end of the oval plate. The sheet plate is slightly bent and damaged and has a patchy mid green patina. See Egan and Pritchard (1991) Dress Accessories, pgs 156-157, no.s 732-738.
