This ball is spherical with a smooth surface but is corroded in places. There is a shallow groove and there are no flattened or dished surfaces suggestive of impact.
The weight suggests that it could have been used in a musket (Harding 2012).
The ball is grey with some buff areas.

A worn post-Medieval copper-alloy circular uniface coin-weight for an Angel (1604-1619).
The front depicts a standing winged figure of St. Michael holding spear and spearing a dragon which he stands astride. The legs are unclear.
The weight is a midi-green colour with patches of a darker green patina. The reverse is worn and plain.

A complete post-Medieval copper-alloy closed one-piece thimble (c. 1650-c. 1750).
This thimble has straight tapering sides, a rounded top and a slightly thickened rim. The sides and top are covered in regularly-spaced sub-circular pits. The rim is plain and has a small dent. The inside is smooth.
The thimble is drab green with traces of a dark green patina.
This thimble is similar to Holmes (1988) Dutch type 1 (AD 1620-1650). A similar example is also shown in McConnel (1999:11, no.8) which is a late 17th century John Lofting style thimble.

A fragment of a Roman copper-alloy bracelet or armlet decorated with transverse grooves (c. AD 200-410).
The object is sub-rectangular in plan and tapers in width from the break at the wider end to the broken terminal. It is ‘D’-shaped in cross-section and is curved in side profile. A break has occurred through the pierced circular hole in the flat terminal. The upper surface has a regularly spaced oblique grooves although a small area at the wider end is plain. The reverse is slightly convex and undecorated.

The object is mainly flat on both faces and just over half its length it is semi-circular in plan. The remaining part, an extension along the straight edge, is roughly square in cross-section and measures c. 4.0mm x c. 4.0mm. This extension terminates with a right angled bend where there is a break.
The object is corroded and bright green.

A fragment of an Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) copper-alloy small long brooch (c. 450-c. 550).
This fragment is the foot which has a transverse break at the top. It is roughly lozenge-shaped in plan and terminates with a double lobe. At the front each lobe has a small circular pit as decoration. There is part of an off-centre catch-plate on the reverse.
The brooch is drab green with patches of a darker green patina. The break is old.

This fragment is part of the bow. From a ragged break at the top, it tapers in width to a break at the bottom. At the top the width is 6.1mm and the width at the bottom is 1.6mm. The upper part has a longitudinal central ridge flanked by a groove on either side. Below this section are seven transverse parallel grooves.
This brooch is green and pitted and the breaks are old.

A complete post-Medieval copper-alloy Tombac (‘dandy’) two-piece button (c. 1700-c. 1800).
The button is flat at the front with a down-turned edge and is concave at the back.
The front is decorated with an engraved stylised flower head consisting of six petals interspersed with six sepals. There is a ‘star’ motif at the centre. A complete and separate iron attachment loop at the back is bent to one side.
This button has a high white metal content and the loop is corroded.

This fragment is one corner of the frame. It is moulded at the front and flat at the rear. The corner has a pair of conjoined ear-like features flanked by circular openings. Traces of a white metal coating can be seen in the crevices at the front.

The object is sub-rectangular in plan and cross-section, flat at the front and rear. The top part is rectangular and rounded in side view. Below this part a similar indentation on both edges is filled with a small deposit of iron. The lower portion, with two steps at each edge, narrows in width towards a worn break.

It is possible that the object is a spacer and that the indentations were pierced to accommodate wire.

An incomplete and corroded Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) copper-alloy strap-end (c. 700-c. 900).
This strap-end is sub-oval in plan, narrower at the terminal end. At the attachment end there are two rivet holes, one is incomplete and the other has the remains of a copper-alloy rivet. The terminal was probably zoomorphic in form.
Height: 28.54mm; width: 10.03mm; thickness: 2.61mm at split, 1.20mm for main body measured approximately 1/3 up from tip. Weight: 1.57g.

The object has an incomplete fleur-de-lis terminal with a transverse break at the opposite end. There is also a break along one edge. At the centre of the fleur a circular rivet hole has a diameter of 1.9mm. The hole is burred at the rear.
The front is decorated with a ‘V’-shaped panel defined by two inscribed parallel grooves. The panel is filled with a pair of parallel lines of contiguous stamped annulets.

This openwork fragment is from the centre of one of the sides and incorporates a hole for a separate spindle. At the front, above the hole, are two opposed shell-like motifs.
This buckle is greenish brown and was white metal coated.
