A complete and slightly misshapen Medieval to post-Medieval copper-alloy domed ('beehive') closed thimble (c. 1400-c. 1550). This thimble is circular in plan and the walls taper inwards from the base towards the crown. The outer face has a line of sub-circular indentations/drilled pits which spiral in an anti-clockwise from the base to the top including the crown. An incomplete post-Medieval copper-alloy hooked strap fitting for a sword-belt (c. 1600-c. 1700). The main body of the fitting is sub-circular in plan, convex at the front and concave at the rear. The front of the main body has three vertical facets. At one end there is a horizontal ridge where there is a break. Here, there would have been a rounded knop, pierced for a separate rivet. An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy book mount of Howsam type B.1.2, c. 1300-c. 1400. This umbonate quatrefoil mount is domed at the front and largely concave at the rear. It has four evenly spaced lugs situated at the base but only two are complete. Each lug has a circular rivet hole and one of the rivets, made of iron, remains in situ. All four lugs are flat at the front and rear. At the front the dome may have been decorated but none can now be seen. However, some similar mounts are decorated with a cross saltire at the front. An incomplete Roman copper-alloy and enamelled flat disc (sexfoil) brooch (AD 80-250). The pin and part of the catch-plate are missing. The plate is circular in plan. At the front it has a plain border and a hexactinal pattern (a star shape) with circular lobes at each point. At the centre there is a raised copper-alloy pellet. The strap-end consists of two plates of equal form as well as a small piece of decorative plate attached to the front of the terminal end.
