An incomplete Medieval to post-Medieval copper-alloy mount or strap fitting (c. 1450-c. 1550). The attachment loop is missing. This object is sub-triangular (heart-shaped) in plan. It is flat at the front and rear. At the front the edges are rounded, almost bevelled. Each lobe has a drilled circular hole to accommodate an attachment loop. One of the holes is larger than the other. The front is decorated with engraved/incised rocker-arm (zigzag or 'wriggle-work'). An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy heraldic zoomorphic stud or mount in the form of a lion rampant (c. 1150-c. 1450). This openwork mount is moulded at the front and slightly concave in places at the rear. It is in the form of a male lion rampant clinging to the staff of a banner. The right foreleg rests on the banner. The left forepaw and the right rear paw appear to be gripping the banner.
