The sub-rectangular suspension loop at the top is about 12.0mm long, 13.0mm wide, 5.9mm thick and has a circular drilled aperture. The suspension loop is misaligned with the plane of the body. An incomplete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy eye-section for a belt or strap clasp (c. 1800-c. 1850). The object is composed of three integral parts, a domed plate with a circular attachment loop at one end and a rectangular attachment loop at the other end. Viewed from the side, each loop measures about 23.0mm x 13.5mm and has a thickness of about 3.0mm. Both loops are sub-rectangular in cross-section. There are two drilled circular holes that pierce through. This weight is grey with patches of a darker grey patina. The coin is dated AH 1287 (1870) and was minted at Fez. The dates on Moroccan coins are Hejira (AH) dates based on the lunar year (354 days) and starting when Mohammed was alive (about AD 600). In plan, from the straight and broken end, the sides taper in for a short distance and then flare to the slightly rounded and complete end. On the underside, close to the break, there is a circular hole, 8.0mm in diameter and 4.7mm in depth. The object is green and corroded with patches of a dark brown patina. The break is abraded. A complete Medieval copper-alloy strap-slide frame with internal projections (c. 1150-c. 1400). The frame is slender and trapezoidal in plan. About a third of the way towards the outer edge of the frame from its base is an internal projection at either side. There is no rivet hole. The fitting has a mid-green patina.
