Broad period: NEOLITHIC
County: East Sussex
Workflow stage: Published Find published
An incomplete Neolithic flint leaf arrowhead (4000 BC-2350 BC). A incomplete broad leaf-shaped arrowhead formed from a thin flake. The tip is lost but what remains suggests that the object was of elongated ogival form when complete. Both sides are invasively worked and retouch around the edges of both sides are short, low angled and parallel. This arrowhead is grey and semi-translucent. It is unclear whether the tip of the arrowhead was lost in antiquity or recently. Length: 33.3mm; width: 19.2mm; thickness: 3.2mm. Weight: 2.09g.
