Probably a Post Medieval copper alloy miniature cannon or mortar. Many of these miniature artillery pieces were fired and are often found with exploded barrels from misfires. This appears to have happened to this example. What remains is the cascable and part of the first reinforce. It dates sometime between c1600 and 1850 AD. Most likely to date between c1650 and c1750, as it is similar in form to pieces in use during that period. The length is 55mm, the width is 29mm and the weight 54.84g.
