Incomplete cast copper alloy Roman hinged T-shaped, South-western derivative brooch. The left wing of the tubular crossbar has broken off at the end, however the right wing is complete with a bulbous rounded end and circumferential mouldings just inside the expanded knop. The crossbar is 35 mm in length and 7 mm in diameter at its thinnest and 8.5 mm in diameter at the bulbous end. The remnant of the curved bow is 25 mm long, 15 m wide where it is attached to the crossbar and tapers to a the broken edge which is 11 mm wide. Fragment of a cast copper alloy horse bell with a rounded head with an integral square suspension loop that is 19 mm wide, 18 mm in height and 5.5 mm thick, with an oval perforation that is 6 mm long and 3.5 mm wide internally. The remains of the bell expand outwards from the head, which is 34 mm in diameter, to an edge of several jagged points, the longest of which is 41 mm in length. The bell is 3 mm thick at this broken edge and 48 mm in diameter. Silver annular brooch with pin intact that dates from the Post-medieval period. The frame has been bent inwards since deposition and would have originally been more circular in plan. The brooch was formed from a circular disc with the centre cut out and then the 'washer' was placed in a doming block and then formed with a punch to create the convex shape of the frame so that it is C-shaped in section (Martin Page pers comm). Cast copper alloy awl, sub-triangular in plan, rectangular in profile and ovate in section. The awl tapers in plan from the rounded spatulated end which is 14.6 mm wide, and sub-rectangular in section, to the pointed end which is 3 mm wide and circular in section. The awl is heavily patinated and has taken a lot of damage around the nib leaving it distorted and with several deep cuts across its surface. Some awls may have been hafted in to a wooden or bone handle and this flattened butt end may have made for better hafting. Plain copper-alloy awls are hard to date precisely, but ones …

Copper alloy finger ring with an empty circular collet for an intaglio. The hoop is oval in profile and D-shaped in section, tapering from the wide (10 mm wide), slightly bevelled shoulders to the narrower base (4 mm wide) of the hoop. The roughly circular collet on the oval bezel is formed from a raised collar which creates a recess, now empty, which would have contained an intaglio made from glass or a gemstone. The collar of the collet is 9 mm in diameter and 2 mm in height, and the internal diameter of the collet for the stone is 7 mm. The ring likely belongs to Henig's (1974) …
