A complete cast lead standing weight. Trapezoidal in plan, sub-rectangular in profile and rectangular in section. Height 87.5 mm, width 36.5 mm tapering to 33.5 mm at the top, thickness 29 mm tapering to 17.5 mm at the top and weighing 704 g (1lb 8.8 oz). A circular suspension hole, slightly biconical, 9 mm in diameter, has been drilled 20 mm from the narrow top end. The entire surface is covered with a well-developed grey-white patina of lead corrosion product. Incomplete cast copper alloy cauldron leg, 91 long, 33 mm wide, increasing to 41.5 mm at the foot. It is 14 mm in thickness, flaring outwards to 19 mm at its bulbous foot, and weighs 259 g. The surfaces are pitted and abraded and the everted foot is severely worn so there is little of the base left. The front face is decorated with a single, moulded, central rib and the back face is flat. There are patches of burnt black organic material on the surface as a result of the food that dripped down the leg from the cauldron when it was in the fire. The leg resembles those of a 16th centur…

Brass finger ring, biconical in profile, with two lines of horizontal raised lettering on the exterior of the hoop, between two borders of raised pellets within a recessed band that is 1 mm in from the edge. The lettering has been created by rolling a strip of sheet brass on to an engraved roller which would also form the pelleted borders. Copper alloy finger ring with an empty circular collet for an intaglio. The hoop is oval in profile and D-shaped in section, tapering from the wide (10 mm wide), slightly bevelled shoulders to the narrower base (4 mm wide) of the hoop. The roughly circular collet on the oval bezel is formed from a raised collar which creates a recess, now empty, which would have contained an intaglio made from glass or a gemstone. The collar of the collet is 9 mm in diameter and 2 mm in height, and the internal diameter of the collet for the stone is 7 mm. The ring likely belongs to Henig's (1974) …

Cast copper alloy awl, sub-triangular in plan, rectangular in profile and ovate in section. The awl tapers in plan from the rounded spatulated end which is 14.6 mm wide, and sub-rectangular in section, to the pointed end which is 3 mm wide and circular in section. The awl is heavily patinated and has taken a lot of damage around the nib leaving it distorted and with several deep cuts across its surface. Silver annular brooch with pin intact that dates from the Post-medieval period. The frame has been bent inwards since deposition and would have originally been more circular in plan. The brooch was formed from a circular disc with the centre cut out and then the 'washer' was placed in a doming block and then formed with a punch to create the convex shape of the frame so that it is C-shaped in section (Martin Page pers comm).
