An incomplete copper alloy probably Iron Age or early Roman bridle bit. This is likely to be part of the central link from a two- or three-link bit. It consists of an oval-shaped loop, circular in cross-section with a flattened circular swelling extending from one end and a short, narrow point from one side of the other end. A complete gilded copper alloy post-medieval/modern furniture fitting. It consists of a rectangular plate with semi-circular indentations at each end of the longer sides. The outer end curves outwards slightly and is embellished with two v-shaped notches to either side of the centre. There is a small circular hole through the centre of this end. A fragment of a copper alloy pin or bracelet of probable Roman date. The terminal is an elongated conical shape and is decorated with approx. 12 ribs. Extending from the inner end of this is a section of circular cross-sectioned stem/hoop terminating in an abrupt break. There is a slight longitudinal groove/seam running the full length of one side. An incomplete copper alloy Roman double lug Colchester derivative brooch. The head is semi-cylindrical with an open reverse. There is a double pierced lug situated in the centre of the reverse of the head, which holds the in situ copper alloy pin spring and chord in place. The upper part of the pin itself also survives.
