A copper-alloy two piece buckle of post-medieval date with missing a spindle and pin. There are moulded pin rests flanked by moulded collars on each side of the object. The spindle holes are flanked by three lobed knops. The buckle has a mid-green patina.

Copper alloy two piece buckle with missing spingle. The buckle is rectangular in shape with rounded corners. There are two moulded pin rests on either side of the buckle. On both sides of the spindle hole there are two scroll knops with a central spherical knop.

Asymmetrical undecorated copper-alloy buckle dating to AD1350 - 1450. The buckle has a D shaped main loop which is notched for the pin. The strap loop is regtangular. Very similar to No 588 p.87 in Whitehead. R. 2003. Buckles 1250 - 1800. Greenlight Witham Essex.

Copper-alloy two piece buckle with seperate spindle. The buckle has been tinned or silvered. It is rectangular in shape with a groved border. It has a "cooking pot" shaped loop chape with a single internal spike. There are file marks on the inside of the buckle Possibly used as a shoe buckle.

One half of a copper alloy double looped buckle of post-medieval date. Only one loop of the buckle remains. The buckle frame has a pointed end and rounded knops at each corner of the remaining loop. Rounded knops decorate the frame either end of the strap bar. The buckle frame is decorated with moulded hearts and scroll decoration. The pin remains attached to the strap bar with just the tip missing. The rear of the object is flat and undecorated. A copper alloy single looped buckle dating to the medieval period, c.1150-1230. The buckle has a D-shaped loop and an expanded frame with two rounded knops. Each knop is decorated with cross hatching which extends along each side of the buckle frame. The buckle frame straightens to form the sides of the strap bar which is oval in cross-section. The rear of the object is undecorated. It is coated with a white metal, probably tin. Dimensions: 21mm in length, 19mm in width, 3mm thick, 2.7g.
