A complete copper alloy Crotal bell of a single cast form of Post-Medieval date (AD 1550-1750). The object comprises two hemispheres divided by a raised horizontal circumferential rib. There are two sound holes, one on either side of the integral, rectangular suspension loop with a sub-circular perforation. The loop projects from the upper hemisphere.
The lower sound hemisphere is composed of two circular sound holes close to the ridge between which is a rectangular sound slot. The pea remains intact. The object is undecorated and has a crack on one side on the lower half of the object.
