A copper alloy Colchester derivative, Polden Hill, hinged brooch dating to the 1st century AD. The brooch is a hinged example with tubular wings with end caps. The head of the brooch rises up from the wings and tapers downwards forming the bow of the object, terminating with a rounded knop at the foot. The upper bow is decorated with central vertical decoration which is obscured due to corrosion and pitting. The end of each wing is decorated with ropework within a raised ridge panel. The object has an oval face with a prominent nose, recessed eyes, and an open mouth. The figure wears a tall pointed hat which points forwards and has a wide rim. An undiagnostic lead alloy weight or token of uncertain date. The object is circular in plan and flat. One face has been marked with an engraved X, while on the opposite face there is a series of small C-shapes similar to a mark that might be made with a thumb-nail. The object has a light brown patina. Dimensions: 33mm in diameter, 3mm thick, 13.3g Lead discs are used as weights and tokens throughout the medieval and post-medieval period and as such are difficult to date with accuracy.

An incomplete cast copper alloy clock key of Post Medieval dating (17th to 18th Centuries AD). The object has an oval bow from the top of which projects a second smaller oval measuring 14mm in diameter. This would have been used to suspend the key from a nail, chain or similar. Below the bow the key thickens to form the stem with a double collar at the bow end. The stem is hollow and oval in cross-section. From the end of the stem a single fragment of the bit projects. A copper alloy double looped buckle of post-medieval date. The object is trapezoidal in plan with moulded decoration on the loops. Each end of the buckle frame is pointed with an oval knop at each corner. A rounded knop decorates each end of the strap bar. The pin is missing. Each end of the buckle frame is notched for the pin to rest. The surface of the buckle has been silvered. An incomplete silver rowel spur comprising of two incomplete arms and neck. The neck, which bifurcates to take the missing rowel is broken on one half, due to what appears to be a modern break. Iron corrosion is visible on the unbroken half of the neck where an iron rivet remains in-situ. This would have attached the rowel to the neck. Each arm is broken at a similar length due to a recent break. The arms are D-shaped in cross-section and undecorated. An almost complete copper alloy flat axehead of early Bronze Age date, c.2150 - 1500 BC. The axehead is sub-oval in plan with a lentoid cross-section. The axehead is extremely worn with no visible decoration. No signs of ridges or flanges are present indicating that this is an early flat axe. The butt is narrow, rounded and is almost complete measuring 21mm in width, and 3mm thick. One edge of the butt end has broken away. The internal face of the vessel has a smooth shiny dark green surface. One face of the object is decorated with a very worn pellet and sunburst moulded motif. The opposite face bears a similar motif which is less worn. A copper alloy Jews (or jaws) harp dating to the Post-Medieval period. The object is sub-rectangular in plan with an oval head. It is lozenge shaped in cross-section. Although the iron spring strip is missing, there is a depression visible on the oval head where it was once attached. The object has a dark brown patina with the reddish copper alloy visible in places. Dimensions: 65mm in length, 31mm in width, 7mm thick, 22.2g Jews harps were current from the Medieval period right up until the 18th century, but Medieval examples are rare.
