A worn but complete square post-medieval double-sided cast copper-alloy coin weight dating from c. AD 1580-1600. Obverse: crowned rose in between the letters A and I all within a circular border Reverse: Upright hand in between A I all within a circular border The coin weight was made in Antwerp by a maker ( A I ) whose work is recorded but whose name is not known (Withers and Withers 1995: 32 & 60). Similar coins weights with the double rose and hand can be seen at SF-F336E5, SOM-27A166 and IOW-C7E866 whil examples displaying the maker AI are found at LON-D53B94 and HESH-8A91F4.

The coin weight is square in form, rectangular in cross-section and bevelled at the sides. Obverse: Shield of British arms, with a circular border containing lions, lis and roses (very worn). An incomplete sheet copper alloy and lead alloy probable candle stick holder, dating from the 16th or 17th century AD. The holder has a lead core with a covering of sheet copper alloy. The holder is plano-convex with a central hollow projection 11.3mm wide which may have been for a candle directly, or more possibly a separate candle stick. One side of the object is damaged and the lead base has degraded. Similar examples can be found in Egan (2005:80 showing separate candle sticks, and also p128, showing miniature examples).

Description: An Early Medieval, Viking-period silver ingot dating from c. AD 850 - 1000. It is sub-rectangular in plan and oval in cross-section. The complete end is rounded while the opposite end is cut. The surface is dimpled and scratched with one surface having 'teeth'-like marks, two and one. TREASURE CASE 2019 T458. Description: An incomplete gold finger ring of medieval date. The finger is now distorted, having an elongated oval hoop. The hoop is D-shaped in cross section with a bevelled inner edge and rounded outer; it is only 1.7mm wide. The upper two-thirds of the hoop is decorated externally with delicate incised decoration. A fragment cast copper alloy Roman brooch of uncertain form but dating from the first to second century AD (c. AD 43-150). The fragment comprises only the foot of the brooch, which has horizontal banded mouldings and a slight outwardly-turned knop at the terminal. The catch plate is intact has has a single circular perforation as decoration.

An incomplete copper-alloy Roman Colchester derivative brooch with double pierced lug and spring mechanism, missing part of the spring and pin, and the lower bow and catchplate. A complete cast copper alloy early Post-Medieval dress hook of Read's Class E, Type 6, dating to the period AD 1500-1600. The object has been cast in one piece in moulded-relief and openwork. The frame is in the form of quatrefoil 'knot' with five raised pellets. The outer frame is decorated with grooves. Where the object extends to form the rearward facing hook is a triple ribbed collar. The hook is complete. At the opposite end the attachment loop is sub-rectangular in plan. See Read (2008) is no.447 on p111 for comparison.
