A medieval silver penny of Stephen (AD 1135-1154), Irregular Issue, Midlands and South-Western Area (North 887; cf. Mack 181-2), struck by Rogier at the Oxford mint. Ref: North 1994: 206-7; Mack 1966: 69-70. The coin is complete and hardly worn, well struck slightly off-centre. There is a straight crease across the coin, below the centre - the finder reports that he found the coin bent and had it straightened before realising what the coin was.

A complete cast copper alloy (with high tin content) Iron Age potin of the Cantiaci (Kent) / South-Eastern Region dating to c.80-50 BC. Rounded Bull type cf. ABC 165. BMC 705-709. David Holman writes: This is a previously unrecorded variety. The nearest parallel is Holman type E1/4-5b, which has the same reverse but an obverse with the face joined to the top of the head. This new variety has a detached face. The obverse also has a stylistic link to E3/4-4a, also from Bucks, although the reverse is quite different.

A complete cast copper alloy Roman figurine of a young Genius, half-robed and holding a patera in the right hand and cornucopia in the left. The statue survives in excellent condition with only slight wear. Depicting a standing Genius, one foot is flat while the other's heal is raised, possibly indicating a walking stance. The right arm is bent at the elbow and held beyond the body, within the palm is a patera, held in place by the thumb above the dish. Description:  A complete Medieval gold finger-ring with gemstone setting (perhaps a sapphire) dating to the period AD 1200-1400. The hoop is oval shaped in cross-section. A complete but worn post medieval copper-alloy one ounce weight with two portcullis stamps to indicate that the weight was made and sold in Westminster (a portcullis is part of the arms of the City of Westminster), as Westminster was outside the jurisdiction of the Founders' Company whose stamp does not appear on this weight. The object has a light green patina. See SUR-6D6B61 for a similar example on this database. c. AD 1758 to 1826. The weight weighs 0.845 ounces - the damage and wear would suggest the original weight to have been 1 ounce.

Description: An incomplete silver gilt annular brooch of medieval date. The brooch has an annular frame, triangular in section with a decorative projection in the form of an animal's (possibly a snake's) head on one side.
