An incomplete cast copper-alloy strap end of medieval date (c. 14th century). The strap end is a composite piece with central spacer that is sandwiched between two thin copper alloy plates. The top plate is engraved with the design of a long-necked bird (probably a swan) with its neck curled over its body, facing left, with a leafy branch in its beak. An incomplete cast copper-alloy strap-mounted harness fitting (terret ring) dating to the early Roman period. Lewis' type 19 'dropped-bar' form. The terret ring is composed of a simple plain oval loop with a thicker sectioned top than base and which has obvious signs of wear to one side. The base of the ring is missing the rectangular attachment loop due to old breaks.

An incomplete copper alloy decorative mount or fitting of early Medieval date, c. 12th century AD (AD 1100-1200). The object is formed from a sem-circular plate of copper alloy, gilded on the upper surface. The plate has alternating rounded panels of openwork and solid panels decorated with human face-masks. Between the panels are several smaller holes presumably for rivets, two of which survive. These rivets stand proud of the front surface and have been gilded, suggesting that they are decorative rather than functional. Each rivet is cone shaped and terminates with a rounded knop.…

A cast copper alloy probable razor or wax spatula terminal of Roman date (AD 43-409). The terminal is in the form of a female head and upper torso, with 3D moulding to the head. The head and face is well depicted with a prominent nose and hair and possible headdress with a bun at the back of head. A lead Papal Bulla issued under Pope John XXII, AD1316-1334 and originally attached to a Papal document. A lead bulla or seal was used to authenticate a papal document or 'bull'. This example is in very good condition with a finely patinated surface. The obverse depicts the heads of St. Paul and St. Peter, with a sceptre between them. The two heads are each surrounded by a circle of pellets. The legend above the busts reads SPASPE. The reverse reads: IOhA/NNES/PPXXII
Hole to attach to document is clear and apparently undamaged.

A worn but complete copper-alloy heraldic shield-shaped stud mount of medieval date (AD 1200-1400). The face is slightly bevelled and shows traces of red enamel, depicting three lions passant guardant. The reverse of the object is flat, undecorated and has an integral, projecting shank, 7.5 mm long. The shank is sub-circular at its base and is L-shaped, terminating in a right angled shank to help secure the mount to leather.

An incomplete copper alloy crotal bell of a single cast form of Post-Medieval date (AD 1550-1750). The object comprises two hemispheres divided by a raised horizontal circumferential rib. There are two sound holes on the upper hemisphere, one on either side of the integral, rectangular suspension loop that has a sub-circular perforation. The lower hemisphere is broken across the sounding slit. Both hemispheres have incised 'sunburst' decoration.

A gold disc, circular in plan. The centre on both faces appears to have been impressed, creating a thick, bulging, rim of uneven width and roughly surfaced. In the centre of on one face are the vestiges of a coin-like design though it is unrecognizable and is smaller in diameter than any known gold coins.

A complete copper alloy annular brooch of medieval date. The brooch is small with a circular frame which is ovoid in cross section. There is a small constriction for the pin which is intact and present - the pin is formed from a small section of copper alloy with a loop to suspend it from the buckle frame, and a large rounded, bulbous collar moulded below the loop. The pin then tapers to a sharp point. The pin does not reach all the way across to the opposite side of the buckle frame. Suggested date AD 1300-1400.
