Description: An incomplete silver hooked tag dating to the ninth to eleventh centuries AD. The hooked tag possesses a flat, circular plate which is fragmentary. A flat, semi-circular pierced attachment lug extends from the circumference of the plate. At its centre is a rivet with a domed head which pierces the plate. The upper surface of the plate is divided by an incised cross motif into at least three panels of incised Trewiddle-style designs comprising entwined beasts. The circumference possesses a marginal groove and notching. The underside of the plate is plain.

Description: Silver 'snake' ring consisting of a triple spiral of metal of lenticular section which terminates at one end in a flattened, sub-triangular snake head and at the other with a twisted and narrowing tail. The head is detailed with grooves and the body by a pair of crudely traced lines that follow the edge of the metal; the area between the lines is infilled with short parallel lines, rather roughly executed, to give the impression of scales.
Measurements: 23mm external diameter; 16.8mm internal diameter; 4.80 grams.
