An incomplete Roman (AD 50-150) copper alloy Colchester derivative brooch with a spring mechanism, missing the foot and catchplate, and the spring and pin.
The wings form an incomplete flat rectangular plate 26.8x2.5mm with two rounded corners while the other two (upper) corners have a semi-circular cut-out (possibly a worn-through perforation), c.2-3mm in diameter. At the centre of the reverse and extending above into the top of the bow are the remains of a double-pierced lug, both perforations having broken/ worn through.

An incomplete Roman (AD 55-100) copper alloy Colchester derivative, hinged ('dolphin' ) brooch with hinge mechanism, missing the pin shank and part of the pin head. The bow is bent slightly to one side.
The cylindrical wings span 27.2mm with a c.5mm diameter cross-section. At the open ends the edges are slightly thickened. To the reverse of the wings is a rectangular slot with the remains of the pin head around the axis bar (the ends of which are visible at the centre of the open ends). An incomplete Roman Developed T-shaped brooch dating to the period AD 50 - 150, with a hinged mechanism and a head loop. It is missing the shank of the pin.
The head loop (5.5mm x 1.6mm) sits on top of cylindrical wings (spanning 21.3mm wide with a max. 3.6mm diameter). The central 0.5mm diameter piercing is countersunk from the reverse. A decorative groove flanks either end of the wings, to the front only. To the reverse the flat triangular head of the pin remains, rotating on the axis bar. The break is relatively recent, the metal at this point being a shiny coppery colour.
