A probably Roman (AD 43-410) copper alloy strap fitting or strap slide, circular in shape, solid and domed. At the apex is a circular knop, within a concave area 6mm in diameter. Surrounding this are five concentric ridges. To the reverse, which is slightly concave, is a D-shaped loop 10.17x2.44mm (internal 5.38x3.92mm). The object measures 17.05mm in diameter, 8.39mm in depth and weighs 2.40g.

An incomplete copper alloy gilt strap-fitting, comprising a hooked plate, triangular in shape, with a hooked projection at the apex (missing its tip, old break) and rounded corners at the opposite end beyond which a projection with a central rectangular cut-out folds backwards to hold an axis bar in place. The fold is held in place at either end by a rivet with a zoomorphic-head visible to the front. An apparently complete very worn late medieval to early post-medieval (1300 - 1600) copper alloy 'fede' or 'fide' finger-ring, with a bezel in the form of two clasped hands (with grooved and moulded definition). The hoop is very worn and thin, with a break at the back where it measures 1.2x1.2mm. The hands extend from 'cuffs' at the shoulders, represented by a square moulding decorated with a grooved X. There is perhaps another smaller square moulding decorated with an X just beyond the shoulder to one side. Otherwise the hoop is very worn and missing much of its original patination.…

An incomplete Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative Polden Hill (flat wing ends type, Eastern Group) brooch Mackreth 2011, 6.a5 pg 78-79, no. 23132 plate 51 with (missing) hinge mechanism. The lower bow and catchplate are missing. The brooch measures 29.43mm in incomplete length and weighs 20.59g. The tubular wings have closed ends and span 38.88mm. To the front, top and underside they are decorated with pairs of raised ribs, embellished with diagonal grooves (one of each pair in a different direction to the other). An incomplete Roman (AD 50-150) copper alloy and enamel probable T-shape brooch, extremely worn with all original patina missing and the enamel settings now standing proud of the surface of the metal. It consists of much of the bow, foot and incomplete catchplate. At the old break, the bow is D-shaped in cross-section, being flat to the front, and measuring 4.01x2.10mm. A possibly incomplete unidentified copper alloy object of possibly Roman date (AD c.43-410), perhaps missing its tip. The object in conical in shape with worn damage at the narrower end, measuring 2.35mm in diameter. It expands over a length of 80.71mm to a flattened terminal 6.60x5.65mm. Just below is a trace of possible decoration of short vertical grooves. Otherwise the surface appears unfinished. The object is slightly bent in profile. It weighs 9.29g.

A fragment of Roman (AD 43-70) copper alloy Hod Hill brooch, consisting of the head and part of the upper bow only. It measures 17.38mm in length and weighs 1.36g. The wings are 14.48mm in width with a central slot for the pin. They curl forwards to hold the axis bar, which remains in the form of iron corrosion (visible at either end of the wings and in front of the wings). One of the wings is rather shorter than the other. An incomplete Roman (AD 43-410) copper alloy penannular bracelet with one thickened end, D-shaped in cross-section. There is decoration to one edge, comprising three short diagonal grooves. The band is a shallow D-shape in cross-section, measuring 3.02x1.74mm at the middle and narrowing to 2.87x1.89mm at the old-ish break (still relatively sharp but of the same patination as the rest of the object). A Roman (AD 43-410) copper-alloy penannular bracelet with one squared-off ends, one of which is slightly thicker than the other. The bracelet has a D-shaped cross section. Decoration is confined to the thickened terminal and comprises a short groove just behind the outside edge, with a pair of short grooves behind. The band measures 4.16x1.79mm at the middle, narrowing to 2.84x0.98mm at the narrower end and 4.17x2.72mm at the thickened end. The bracelet measures 48.91mm in width and 50.41mm in length, and weighs 5.22g. The patina is a smooth, shiny and very dark brown.

An incomplete copper-alloy medieval (1200-1400) shield-shaped horse harness pendant with traces of red enamel and gilding, missing the top of the loop (which is turned through 90 degrees). The harness pendant has a heraldic device which can be described thus: Or, a lion rampant gules. The tail of the lion, which faces left, trifurcates. A large, relatively thin flint flake, slightly curved with large flake scars from several directions on the dorsal surface. It has well-abraded flake-edges from post-depositional damage. There is some possible secondary flaking on the proximal right dorsal margin, but no other evidence for retouch. The date is uncertain within the Prehistoric period and it could be later Prehistoric if found in a beach environment. An undatable Prehistoric flint probable core (rather than a handaxe roughout), which could be described as a crude discoidal flake core made on a well-rounded and worn flint cobble (Mike Trevarthen pers.comm. December 2014). Much of the cortex (c.50%) survives and where the flint surface beneath survives (through flake removal, on both faces) it is now a creamy-white in colour. The core measures 97.09x69.25x42.12mm and weighs 236g. A slightly bent (and corroded to the reverse) post-medieval copper-alloy jetton of the 'Rose / orb' type, 'GOTT ALLEIN DIE EERESEI' (to God alone be glory), struck at Nuremberg by Hans Krauwinckel II (master 1586-1635). Cf. Mitchiner 439, 1518-1533. Both initial marks are obscured by corrosion and the centre of the rose has a depression.
