Object type: MOUNT
Broad period: MEDIEVAL
County: Kent
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation
A complete fragment of a cast copper alloy casket or box mount of Medieval date (c. 1200-c. 1300).
The mount appears to form the intersection of two strips that would have been mounted on the outside of the casket. The mount is an irregular shape as it appears to have been bent after deposition.
