Post medieval (late 16th to 17th century) lead alloy seal: This is possibly an incomplete two part cloth seal which is a sub-circular. The disc has a RWR (the first R is retrograde) and they are ligatured, surmounted by a crown. The surface of the seal has a cream-coloured patina. A complete lead or lead alloy biconvex spindle whorl, of probable Medieval dating (AD1100 to AD 1500). The spindle whorl is sub-circular in plan, with a central, circular perforation extending vertically through the object (internal diameter 9.26mm). The sides of the spindle whorl are slightly convex and have a repeating pattern of vertical grooves and ridges.
