A blade is an elongated flake that was detached from a core-the rule of thumb being more than twice as long as it is wide. Blades were often modified and mounted in handles or hafts. This blade, dating to the Mesolithic period, is grey in colour, with almost half the cortex remaining on the dorsal face.It is blunt at one end and rounded at the other. There are several flaking scars and the edges are well worked. It measures 51.28mm x 14.67mm and weighs 3.16g.

A Scraper is a unifacially retouched tool, with a steep wide-angled edge. It is designed to scrape material such as wood, bone and hide. One important variety is the thumbnail scraper, which characteristically tends to be a small discoid in outline. This sub-circular chert dating to the Mesolithic period is light grey in colour with some white mottling and a dull, matt hue. It has a dark grey stripe , which runs obliquely across both sides. One important variety is the thumbnail scraper, which characteristically tends to be a small discoid in outline. A special type of lithic flake with a chisel-like edge, which was probably used for gouging or carving wood, leather or bone. This is a small, fine flint implement, oval in shape with a sharp point, dating from late Mesolithic to early Neolithic. Conchoidal ripples are pronounced on both surfaces.
