Fragment of a glass monochrome globular beaker, probably dating to the late 8th or 9th century. The fragment comprises a section of rim and body. The rim is circular in section and has a pronounced ridge on the interior where it meets the interior wall. On the exterior, the rim blends smoothly with the vessel wall. The body is decorated with three transverse lines; the centre one is formed by two lines that have a small gap between them. The glass is dark olive-green in colour, and can be compared with no's.5980 and 5152 from Staunch Meadow, Brandon (Tester et al 2014: plate 6.2). Con…
