A post-medieval copper alloy sheet metal mount or fitting, probably from furniture. The mount is asymmetrical and consists of a large, flat, fleur or leaf, with a slender leaf projecting below to either side. The tip of one of the leaves is missing, but all three have a circular rivet hole. The surface is decorated with incised ring and dot motifs as well as incised curved lines which emphasise the vegetal nature of the decoration.

A Post Medieval copper alloy strap mount dating to the 17th century. The mount is in the form of an elongated acorn with a small knop at the apex. The mount is slightly plano-convex and has a pair of inward pointing integrally cast shanks on the reverse. A small piece of leather survives between the shanks.

A Post Medieval copper alloy mount dating to c AD 1550 - 1650. The mount has a moulded flower head (possibly a closed tulip) at the head, with a stem below and a flanking leaf to either side. The surface is gilded. The mount is plano-convex in section. Two incomplete integral hooks project from the reverse. cf Read 2021 p39 and 41 no 263 for similar.

A complete, cast copper-alloy military harness mount. The mount is square with a median rib. This rib is flanked on both sides by a convex panel. The sides of the mount form a narrow ledge. On the recessed reverse is an integral rivet with a disc head. This mount belongs to Nicolay's (2007), Type B6, pl. 73, no. 142.1. A parallel from the same parish is recorded as LIN-A9C66E. Suggested date: c.AD 120 - 300.

Roman copper-alloy mount with integral rivet. The head is conical and undecorated, measuring 16mm in diameter. On the reverse an integral rivet projects from the centre. Its circular-section shaft is 4.6mm in minimum diameter and ends in a large integrally cast disc 12mm in diameter. The object is 11mm in total height. It has a pale green surface and weighs 4.8g.  The integral rivet with large flat rove is characteristic of the Roman period. A Roman copper alloy mount, finial. or possible linch pin terminal. The object is circular in section, elongated, and consists of a reel at either end separated by a narrowed waist. A narrow reel with central groove sits either side of the waist. The head of the mount has a deeply recessed band creating a circular cell with concave centre. The opposite end is hollow and contains the remains of an iron shank of circular section.

A copper alloy quatrefoil mount probably of late Early Medieval date (1000-1100). The mount is flat and originally had four sub-triangular arms projecing from the centre to form a quatrefoil. Each arm has an oval aperture; two arms are incomplete. The surviving arms each have a copper alloy rivet at the terminal. The mount has a brown-red patina of a type often seen on 11th century metalwork.

An early Anglo-Saxon copper alloy mount, dating circa 470-600. The mount is anthropomorphic and nearly complete. Overall, the mount is flat and subrectangular on plan. At the top is a flat panel with a rounded terminal. A hole runs through the panel. This hole was originally circular but has apparently worn into an egg-shape perhaps through pressure being asserted to the top of the hole over time. A complete figurative / anthropomorphic strap mount of late Medieval date depicting a crowned king's head. The mount is in the form of a human face with a moulded crown, incised triangular eyes, a projecting small pointed nose and incised mouth and tapers to the flat chin. A late early-medieval openwork copper-alloy decorative zoomorphic mount, possibly from a strap or horse harness and dating to the 11th century AD. The mount is in the form of a convex, oval beast head with moulded ears and openwork eyes to either side of a moulded snout. A slender shank extends for much of the body, leading to a circular pierced panel. The rectangular shank continues after this until the break. The surface is gilded. This mount was probably attached to a piece of furniture or an object such as a box.
