A fragment of a copper-alloy vessel dating to the medieval to post medieval period. The fragment is part of the leg of a cooking vessel such as a cauldron. The pot leg is sub-triangular in cross-section, with a slightly concave inner surface. The leg is formed of five convex ribs which terminate in a flared, hoof-like foot. The base of the foot is flat. The metal is very uneven and mid-green in colour, with patches of dark grey. The pot leg measures 70.1 mm long, 46.0 mm wide, and 31.0 mm thick. It weighs 262 g. A complete lead spindle whorl dating from the medieval to post medieval period (AD 1200 - AD 1800). The spindle whorl is bi-conical with a perforation through the centre. Both surfaces are decorated with two borders, one along the outer edge and one around the perforation. Between these lines are two rings of evenly spaced pellets. The design is very worn on one side. An incomplete copper alloy finger ring dating to the Roman period, probably 3rd century AD (c. 200-300 AD). The bezel is flat and oval in shape, containing four raised pellets in a lozenge formation. The pellets are filled with light blue enamel, and surrounding area with red enamel. The hoop tapers in width from the shoulders, but the back of the hoop is broken and missing. A complete copper alloy strap-slide dating to the medieval period (late 12th to late 14th century). It is sightly trapezoidal, flaring outwards from the bar; there is a pair of internal projections close to the bar which would have held the strap-slide to the strap. It is undecorated, but the photo seems to show a groove along the external side of the outside edge opposite to the bar; this edge is thickened to give room for the groove.
