A medieval silver coin: a half groat of Henry VII (1485-1509), facing bust issue type IIIb, Canterbury mint, issued by the King and Archbishop Morton jointly, with a tun initial mark (AD 1486 - 1504). The coin is very clipped. There is a die error with the reverse legend spelled CIVITAS CASTOR instead of CANTOR. See North (1991) Volume II number 1712 on page 102 and compare SWYOR-0ABBA5. It is 17.3mm diameter, 0.7mm thick and 1.1g.
