A late Medieval gold finger-ring, dating from about AD 1400 - 1500. The ring has a rectangular sectioned loop and is inscribed on the outer surface with three words divided by foliate engraving. The writing is a French inscription in gothic or 'blackletter' script, which read "Sans de partier", translated as 'without end or leaving', and meaning 'I am yours forever', an amatory phrase.
The hoop is slightly distorted and is cracked across in one place. The ring measures 21.5mm maximum diameter, 3.9mm wide and 0.8mm thick. 1.61g.

An early medieval silver pyramidal mount, probably from a sword scabbard dating from the 7th century. The mount is hollow with four triangular faces and a flat top. Each face is decorated with a single-line raised border and a central tripod-like motif resembling a reversed 'x' (sedge) rune, some clearer and better preserved than others. A copper-alloy Roman coin, probably an as of Marcus Aurelius as Caesar (AD 139 - 161), dating to the period AD 154-155 (Reece period 7). TR POT VIIII COS S C reverse type depicting Mars advancing right holding spear and trophy. Mint of Rome. Compare RIC III, p. 184, no. 1322. This is probably a 'Coin of British Association' as listed by D. Walker in his report on the Sacred Springs at Bath (Walker, 1988: pp. 295, 299, nos. 382-435, pl. XXXVIII). It is 23.5mm diameter, 2.6mm thick and 5g.

A fragment of silver rod or ingot, probably originally part of an Early Medieval decorated armring, later cut for use as Viking hack-silver. The find consists of a short length of a curved silver rod of kite-shaped section (deltoid) that has been cut obliquely across both ends. The fragment is decorated on the outer face with stamped marks. Each stamp is in the shape of two opposing triangles, point to point. There are three rows os these stamps. A copper alloy miniature object or pendant in the form of an axe, probably dating from the Late Bronze Age to Roman period, about 1200 BC - AD 410. The axe is sub-rectangular in section at the butt, flares to a curved asymetrical cutting edge and has a side loop. The circular loop is internally worn towards the outer edge and the butt end. The axe is 36.4mm long, 18.7mm wide and 4mm thick. 5.85g. It has a grey patina with green corrosion where damaged.

A damaged spherical silver sheet bell, now squashed and distorted and in two pieces, of late Medieval to Post-medieval date, about AD 1375 - 1600. The bell was made from two hemispheres probably joined by solder. The join was covered by an encircling band of silver wire decorated in a twisted cable style with solder previously joining the ends, now also distorted and partly detached . A Post Medieval silver button or cuff link element of 17th Century date. It is of Lewis Form 1, Type A. It is a stamped sheet disc, probably one element of a cuff link. It is circular in plan with a down-turned or flanged edge. It is decorated with two hearts beneath a single crown on a stippled background. The attachment loop, the joining loop and the second disc are missing. The cuff link element is 13.9mm diameter, 2.7mm thick and 1.38g.

Part of Roman silver finger ring, dating from AD 200 - 300, unusual in having a gold border round the gem intaglio. The gold appears to be on the surface only.
Only the bezel area of the finger ring survives. It is wide and curved along the hoop and across the hoop. It has an oval bezel with a gem set in it. The gem is a dark brown red colour and is broken, so any design on the face is missing. The gem is slightly proud of the gold border and the hoop, with a bevelled edge. A silver mount, strap fitting or book clasp of Medieval date, about AD 1400 - 1450. It is perhaps most likely to be a book clasp of Howsam type A.7.
It is rectangular and has two plates, both the same size, held together by two silver rivets with domed heads, one at each end, both on the centre line. There is also a larger circular aperture in the centre of the plates. The mount is 26.9mm long, 11.7mm wide and 4.2mm thick. 3.13g.

A Post Medieval Silver dress component, probably an eyelet dating from about AD 1500 - 1600. The probable eyelet is pentagonal in plan. Each point is moulded on the obverse into a simple fleur-de-lis. The sides of the eyelet are concave, and in the centre of each one, on the front face, is a moulded pellet.
