A copper-alloy Roman as of Domitian (AD 81-96) as Caesar under Vespasian, dating from AD 77-78 (Reece period 4). Reverse type depicting Spes standing left holding flower and skirt, S-C in the field. Mint of Lyon. As RIC II (2nd ed.) p. 150, no. 1290; BMC nos. 873-874. The coin is 27.5mm diameter, 3.6mm thick and 9.87g.
