A silver gilt plate brooch with pink gem or glass settings (perhaps pale garnets), which is probably Continental, Early Medieval and dating from AD 400 - 600. The brooch is quatrefoil in plan, with a smaller lobe in the outer angle of each pair of foils. The four outer lobes are circular settings for pink gem (garnet) or glass insets. Three of these survive. The last setting contains a white concretion, perhaps solder or cement for the missing gem. A copper alloy Roman brooch, a headstud brooch dating from AD 75 - 200. The brooch has rectangular wings hiding a tubular housing for the axis bar and hinged pin. The top of the pin survives, but is now detatched. Also surviving but detatched is part of the copper alloy axis bar, and part of the copper alloy wire head loop. There is a projecting ridge on the top of the head - a pseudo forward hook. An Early Medieval cloisonné disc brooch of 10th to 11th century date. The circular brooch has 7 evenly spaced semi-circular lobes projecting around the edge. They are decorated with a spherical bead of blue glass on each, some surrounded by a ring of white probably corrosion product. The centre of the brooch is decorated with a floral motif of interlocking wire cells filled with enamel. A fragment of a late Medieval - Post Medieval cast copper alloy purse frame dating from AD 1450 - 1600. The frame fragment is V shaped in cross-section and has a curved profile. One side is slightly thicker and is inscribed with recessed letters filled with neillo. The lettering reads: "(CR)EATOR(EN)..." and is probably part of the legend: CREATOREN CELI ET TERRE ET IN IESUN' (part of the phrase 'I believe in God the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth; I believe in Jesus Christ...').
