Two fragments of a Post-Medieval cloth seal from Wesel in Germany. These are almost certainly two parts of the same four part cloth seal. The double perforations in each are secondary and may indicate an attempt to re-attach the two most important parts of the seal to a cloth of bale after the origiinal seal was broken off. Medal of Frederick the Great of Prussia with a diameter of 43mm. The edge is damaged. It is of copper alloy, probably of pinchbeck, a brass, mainly of copper with some zinc, invented in the 18th century as a cheap imitation of gold and often used for medals. It is an English medal commemorating the victories of Frederick the Great over the French at Rosbach and the Austrians at Lissa in the Severn Years War. Incomplete hinge-headed enamelled brooch of the 1st-2nd century. It weighs 3.22g and measures 24.5x18mm. Part of the pin is missing and the bow is broken, so the leg is absent. It covered in a green patina. Some enamel is present, but it is discoloured. The copper alloy pin, 8mm long, is flat and emerges from a slit in a tubular hinge case 3mm in diameter and 18mm wide. Probably a fragment of a Roman copper alloy plate-headed T-shaped bow brooch. Only sections of the plate, hinge and bow remain. All breaks are old and very worn. A circular bridle boss with a diameter of 53mm wieghing 41.80g. It is of iron and the obeverse is coated with bronze. The iron is covered in relatively compact black and orange corrosion products. The bronze is covered in a green patina with some yellow corrosion products. Rim fragment of a medieval/post-Medieval copper alloy cooking vessel fragment. It weighs 59.80g, is 3mm thick and measures 108x34mm. It is covered in a green patina, some of which has been scratched recently revealing the shiney metal. The outer surface is blakend from sooting. One area of this outer face, 23x15mm, appears to have partially broken away and been replaced. This area is subsequently raised, and is less patinated than the rest of the fragment. Copper alloy cooking vessels were common between 1200 and c.1600.

Medieval horse harness pendant suspension mount of copper alloy. It is a horizontal bar mount broken at each end at the rivet hole. The object is partly covered in a green patina and weighs 15.76g and measures 15x72mm (incomplete). Harnesses were decorated with mounts from the 12th-late 14th centuries (Clark 1995). Token or coin weight of a lead/tin alloy. It is uniface and sub-hexagonal in shape measuing 13x10mm and weighing 1.13g (17.5gr.). The is obverse is a cast fleur-de-lis in relief fillng most of the avaliable space. This object could be (a) a late medieval tokn, perhaps trimmed to its present shape or, less likely (b) a crude coin weight for hte continental florin (c.50gr) or its half (c.25gr.) again trimmed down.

Troy weight of copper alloy weighing 3.23g (50gr., 0.114oz), 0.27mm thick and 14mm in diameter. It is unifaced with fine file marks on the reverse. On the obverse are two stamps: (a) a crowned W incuse-this probably indicates William IV (1830-1837). (b) a rectangular stampwielding a crowned I P in relief. probably a local verification mark of an unidentified town. This appears to be an early 19th century 50grain wieght of the Troy system which was used for precious stones and metal.
