Copper-alloy piece 11.48mm in diameter and 1.14g in weight. One side is convex, the other flat. It is possible that it is blank for a Roman period contemporary copy of a coin, prepared by dropping molten metal on to the flat surface. However, it was never struck. If it is a blank, it probably dates to c. AD 275-402.

A globule of base-silver, possibly a cast forger's blank. The globule is approximately circular in plan and hemispherical in section. It has a diameter of 12mm.

A copper-alloy coin blank, possibly for a barbarous radiate dating to the period AD 275 to 285 (Reece period 14). The blank is flat and circular in shape and measures 18mm in diameter. It weighs 3.2g. This is very important evidence for the striking of counterfeit coinage at Piercebridge during the Roman period.
