Copper alloy contemporary copy of a dupondius of Antonia (daughter of Mark Antony and mother of Claudius), dating to c. AD 41-54 (Reece Period 2), TI CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG P M TR P IMP [?], S C, Claudius, togate, standing left. Prototype Mint of Rome. RIC I, pp. 127 & 129, type as no. 92 or 104; Boon pl. III,cf. nos. 42-43. The images are scans of prints sent to the British Museum. It is hoped that the Local FLO will be able to add new images at a later date.

Silver denarius of Carausius (AD 286-93) (Reece Period 14), CONSER A, Neptune seated left with anchor and trident. Mintmark: - // RSR. RIC V, pt 2, p. 510, cf. no. 553. This coin has an unrecorded obverse legend, IMP CARAVSIVS P F AVG, for the type. However, it shares a reverse die with a coin in the Hunter Cabinet (no. 162) at Glasgow. It is the second coin known with this precise reverse type.
