A copper-alloy 'beehive' thimble constructed from sheet metal, probably dating from 1400-1500 AD. It is squashed and there is damage to the rim but was originally dome shaped, with no division between crown and sides. Unusually, this thimble either has a double layered wall, or is in fact two thimbles which were stacked one inside the other when deposited. Two closely fitting layers of copper alloy are visible at the rim, most noticeable where inner component has been squashed resulting in folds in the metal. A late Anglo-Saxon three-dimensional silver finial/strap-end, broken at one end. From a sub-rectangular plate with two fixing holes depends a small rounded animal head which bites into the top of the head of a backward-looking canine creature, which in turns appears to bite another ill defined creature attacking its rump. The tail of another creature is visible at the broken end of the piece. A Bronze age strip of sheet gold which long, cigar shaped with squared off terminals. At either end is a set of three small perforations set in a triangle. These are roughly circular piercings with evidence for rotational action in their formation; the tiny lips of metal pushed through to the reverse have been crudely doubled back and flattened. An incomplete copper-alloy pin of Middle Iron Age date, decorated in 'plastic style'. The pin has a large knobbed head, consisting of a spherical head with a slightly flattened base with multiple motif decoration. Small, plain penannular gold ring of flattened oval cross section; the ends taper slightly to flat terminals. Examination in the laboratory indicated that the object has a base metal core. External diameter 15.5x14mm; internal diameter 4.5mm; breadth 6mm; weight 6.18 grams. Non-destructive X-ray fluorescence analysis of the surface of penannular ring from 'Havant area', Hampshire, indicated a gold content of 76 - 79 %, silver content of 16 - 18 %, the remainder being copper. The ring weighs 6.18 grams and the specific gravity measurement of 9 indicates that it has a base metal core.

An Anglo-Saxon gold sheet panel. The panel is flat and made from gold sheet in the form of a long, narrow rectangle with three sides sharply cut at right-angles to each other and the fourth torn. Running broadly parallel to the long cut edge are two lengths of beaded wire separated by a running ziz-zag, also made of beaded wire.

An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman openwork belt mount, probably associated with the military and dating from the 3rd century AD. The is an elaborate pelta shape in plan with a bifurcating terminal which curves towards the concave section of the pelta, one terminal is incomplete due to an old break at the tip of the pelta mount. The reverse of the mount has a large integrally cast rounded shank with wide flattened head that would have secured the mount to a leather strap.

The ingot is short cigar-shaped with a smooth upper surface and a pitted lower one which appears to have been slightly flattened; length, 35mm. A large number of silver ingots of the Viking period have been found mainly in hoards in England, Ireland and the Netherlands, as well as in Scandinavia. Silver ingots from the region of the Danelaw were probably used as bullion in payments or trade transactions. A small silver Anglo-Saxon hooked-tag, of round, delicate shape. The hook, now twisted, depends from a round plate with two attachment holes (one blocked by deposited dirt). The back of the plate is plain, whilst the front, which is rather worn, has what appears to be a zoomorphic decoration within a plain border. This seems to consist of a beast with vegetation motifs emerging from his open jaws; further not easily identifiable details /space fillers are also present. Originally the decoration would have stood out against a black niello background.

A corroded but complete cast copper-alloy zoomorphic horse-harness pendant of medieval date. The form of the artefact is possibly that of a stag's head. A corroded cast copper-alloy hook, probably from medieval horse-harness. It consists of a rectangular attachment plate with rounded end and a protruding, inward-curving hook. A broken strip of gold, possibly from a finger ring, possibly intended to be used as bullion. The inner surface is smooth, whilst the outer has a series of mouldings.
