A 17th century silver head-dress pin, ‘bodkin’ type. Rectangular in plan, tapering to a blunt point, and is hexagonal in cross-section. It is now incomplete, as the broader, top end has been lost at the beginning of a rectangular perforation (eyelet), which is now without its top, fourth side. Below the broken aperture, on both wide faces, are two incised tranverse lines, below which a succession of two incised ‘V’s or ‘tongues’ tapering in the same direction as the pin. A Post-Medieval silver incomplete combined earscoop and bodkin. At one end, an earscoop, attached to a triangular section with central hole for suspension, attached to a rectangular section decorated on either side with a flowerhead. This is attached to two separate lengths of metal, the ends now broken off. The two lengths of metal would have originally been attached to a second rectangular section, terminating in a long shaft with blunt end.
