A lead weight of uncertain date in the form of a truncated cone. A perforation runs through the centre of the weight; it is somewhat squared. There is a faint ring between the hole and the edge of the lower surface. One side of the weight is flattened giving it a lop-sided appearance. It is corroded and pitted in places.

A cast lead weight of dumb bell form, rectangular in plan. Both ends are faceted and slightly rounded at the outer apexes. There is a central groove. The artefact is corroded and covered in numerous strike marks. No means of attachment are apparent. As such an object is not diagnostic a wide date range is offered.

A circular lead trade weight of post-medieval date (17th century). It is decorated unifacially with three incuse stamps. With the stamps orientated upwards, in the top left corner is a crowned 'C' (for King Charles), in the top right is a sword (of St Paul, for the City of London Guildhall), below them is an angel with scales (for the Plumbers Company), off-centre to the left. The weight is corroded with some denting, including a possible annulet punch to the lower surface, and iron corrosion product on the upper surface. A cast lead weight of uncertain date. The object is sub-pyramidal in that it has a truncated, flat top. This gives it a trapezoidal cross-section. On the upper surface the square top has a raised X with a pellet in each. Between the square top and the base are four trapezoidal sides, two of which has a raised cross. A similar weight can be found in Biggs and Withers (2000, 29; ref. 62).

A cast lead-alloy pot mend, sub-oval in shape, no traces of pottery are visible in the groove. The section below the groove is smaller and more regular. Such repairs are undiagnostic as regards dating.

A small fragment of Roman Black Burnished Ware 1 or grey ware, originating from the neck of a vessel. The fabric is fine and sandy of a black to dark-grey colour. The rim is beaded and set at a right angle to the body; it extends for c. 4.1mm where it has not been abraded away. Below the rim is a small, flat section before the vessel expands to a shallowly convex body.

Two abraded base sherds from Roman sandy greyware vessels. One sherd is large, abraded and has a red oxadised base with fine inclusions of a dark quartz (58.05 by 37.85 by up to 22.15mm; 32.57g). The second is fine, thinner in profile with similar temper (38.2 by 25.7 by up to 12.2mm; 10.99g). A combined weight is given below.

A group of seven abraded body sherds from Roman sandy greyware vessels. They are of variable size, shape and surface finish, ranging from light to dark greys, but are all local greyware types (where identified with certainty). The sherd are tempered with sand; one sherd has a large flint tempered inclusion visible. Some are shallowly curved. A combined weight is given below.

An abraded body sherd from a Roman sandy greyware vessel. The fragment is pentagonal in shape, with an oxidized orange finish on both surfaces. The upper surface is decorated with rilling (evenly spaced horizontal ridges and concomitant grooves). The sherd has been tempered with sand.

A base sherd from a Roman grog-tempered vessel with abraded breaks. The vessel has a light-brown colour. The fragment has a flat base with the beginning of the side walls at an angle of c. 130 degrees. In Hampshire tempering with grog was common in the second half of the 4th century, although was known earlier.
