Copper alloy cast sewing ring, post medieval in date (c AD1500-1700). The thimble is sub trapezoidal in plan, formed from a thin coil of copper sheeting. It is very bent and forms an irregular oval shape as opposed to a clean circle. Where the thimble is severely bent, a break has occurred running down the entire side of the object. The sewing ring has six rows of rectangular regular pits running around the circumference, which is bordered at the top and bottom by a linear band. Small copper alloy cast double loop spectacle buckle, medieval to early post medieval in date (c AD1400-1600). The buckle loops are oval in plan, joined by a central integral strap bar. The edge to one of the loop frames has a very slight lip with corrosion to one side which is where the pin probably rested. The pin is complete and wrapped around the central bar. The pin is made of a thin piece of copper alloy, tapering to a tip. One loop in the frame has a break. The buckle is plain and undecorated. It has a patchy light green patina. Copper alloy cast double loop sub angular buckle, post medieval to modern in date (c AD1660-1720). The buckle is trapezoidal in shape which becomes concave at either end of the strap bar. The separate central strap bar is missing, as well as the pin. Both ends of the strap bar are moulded with collars. Both loop of the frame widen out at the edges and are decorated with a floral and leaf motif. Complete copper alloy cast strap end, medieval in date (c AD1250-1400). The strap end consists of two sheets of copper joined together by a small rivet, still intact at the top of the strap end. The strap end is sub rectangular in plan, with a decorative terminal. The terminal is shouldered, with an oval shape topped with a trefoil. The neck of the terminal is snapped on one side of the strap end. The main body of the strap end is bent. A small rivet survives through the terminal end. The body of the strap end is undecorated and is in fair condition with a patchy mid green patina.

Copper alloy cast vessel fragment, medieval in date (c AD1200-1500). The fragment is irregular in shape with two flat edges with a rounded corner. The other two sides are uneven and incomplete. There is a rivet or repair near to the rounded corner of the fragment which is flattened on one side. The fragment is probably from a metal vessel or container. The object has a patchy mid green patina.

Copper alloy cast stud, probably medieval in date (c AD1200-1500). The stud is circular in plan with a slightly domed upper face and flat lower face. There is the remains of an off centre fastener on the lower face of the stud, which is now in the form of a square headed protusion. The stud has a very worn smooth surface and has a mid green patina.

Incomplete cast copper alloy buckle fragment, medieval in date (c AD1250-1400). The buckle fragment is a single loop sub-triangular buckle with the remains of a snapped and very twisted offset strap bar. The frame protrudes out in a flat trapezoidal shape and includes two linear insets to accommodate the pin. The rest of the frame is thin and bent inwards with snapped incomplete ends. The object is undecorated and has a patchy light green to reddish patina.

Copper alloy sheet, medieval in date (c AD1250-1450). The sheet is rectangular and flat, with a significant bend to one side and a damage line. The upper face is decorated with a series of linear grooves in a criss-cross pattern forming four crosses surrounded by a double lined border. The lower face is plain but worn. The object may be an unfinished strap end as there are no rivet holes present (see Egan and Pritchard pgs 158-159). It may also be a mount for a book or fitting, but this is unclear. It has a mid green patina.

One end tapers to a narrowed straight edge. The opposing end tapers to a similar shape but also has sub-triangular projections at either side (one now incomplete). One rivet and the remains of a second rivet hole survive at the projecting end. The sheet is bent slightly concave. The object has a mid green patina.

At the terminal end a thin strip of copper is suspended between the folded sheeting and terminates on both sides by a semi-circular remains of a hole. The strap end has cracks in the sheeting and worn irregular edges. The object has a mid green patina.

The narrower end is folded over inwards. There are damage marks and wear to the surface of the sheet and there is another bend in the plate near the wide end. The sheeting is probably waste from an unfinished strap end or similar object.

Copper alloy cast circular mount, early post medieval in date (c AD1450-1600). The mount is sub-circular and domed, with a convex outer face and concave inner face. The edge of the mount is flattened and there is a central circular hole measuring 4.2mm in diameter. On the upper surface there is a series of three raised concentric circles for decoration. The object is in fair condition and has a patchy mid green patina. See Ottaway and Rogers (2002) pages 2905-2906, fig 1479 for comparisons.

The buckle plate is sub-rectangular in plan with a bevelled outer edge forming two circular flat protrusions at the two outer corners. The opposing side has a wide recess to accommodate a strap bar. There are the remains of three thick rivets in the plate frame; the central one is lose and bent over on the front of the plate. The back of the buckle plate is in poor condition and only part of the plate survives. There are slight remains of gilding to the front of the plate. The object is very worn and has a light green patina.

On one side the sheeting is shorter and narrower with a flat squared-off end. The thicker side of the sheeting has a slightly angled straight edge. A rivet is still intact at the top of the strap end attaching the sides of the sheeting together. The strap end is undecorated. The object is in fair condition and has a dark green patina.

Copper alloy cast sheet plate strap end, medieval in date (c AD1150-1450). The sheet is sub-oval in plan with a trapezoidal attachment edge with pointed ends. The plate is flat in section. The edge would have fitted to a two-riveted bar mount. One tip of the attachment edge is snapped off with the remains of a rivet hole. There is a second rivet hole on the opposing edge tip, and a third rivet hole at the far end of the oval plate. The sheet plate is slightly bent and damaged and has a patchy mid green patina. See Egan and Pritchard (1991) Dress Accessories, pgs 156-157, no.s 732-738.
