Roman copper alloy bow brooch of Polden Hill type, cf Mackreth 2011, CD PH 4.i1. Plate 47, and of 120-240 AD. The cast brooch is heavily-corroded and incomplete missing the leg and pin and is a comparatively small example (with a surviving length of 26.0mm. a surviving depth of 13.3mm and a weight of 2.9g). A Medieval to Post-medieval copper alloy decorated plate probably of 11th or 12th century date. The flat plate is fragmentary, with an intact top edge but with all other edges broken in antiquity (with a surviving length of 31.6mm, a surviving width of 21.4mm and a weight of 3.8g). Small annular decorative silver brooch. The frame is decorated with beading in the form of enlarged filigree. There is no restriction in the frame for the pin which has a flat plain shaft and wrap around head. External diameter 215.4 x 15mm; inner diameter 13 x 12.4mm; maximum frame thickness 1.4mm; weight 0.96g. Surviving pin length 11mm; thickness 1.4mm (some of shaft and head missing). The surviving pin is in three fragments (recent breaks, associated with discovery). In terms of size and design, the brooch is of thirteenth- to mid-fourteenth-century form.

The reported object is a small closed thimble made of silver sheet, with the separate crown soldered to the main body.
