Copper alloy figurine that depicts an upright seated bird with furled wings. The figurine has a sub- ovoidal shaped body which tapers towards the rear forming a flat upwardly pointing tail, the tip of which terminates in a rectangular cross-section. A large copper alloy medieval rotary key. The shank of the key is oval in cross-section with a hollow core. The rectangular bit has a complex arrangement of notches consisting of a long notch on the top of the forward edge and a small notch below; a short notch on the forward edge of the base and a long notch behind, a recess runs down the top left side parallel to the shank. The opposite end of the shank has the collared loop that has expanded sides with notched outer edges.

Copper alloy disc brooch which is made from a circular plate decorated with a raised central dot surrounded by curvilinear border forming a six pointed star motif that has roundels at each point, enclosing the whole plate is a raised linear border. The recessed exterior cell of the star would have been filled with light blue enamel, with small traces remaining. The recessed interior cell would have been filled with enamel, but no traces remain. On the reverse is the mount for the spring and the catch plate, both are truncated. This artefact dates to 80-250 AD.

Copper alloy horse harness pendant suspension mount in the form of a long vertical bar with bevelled sides. The top end is expanded to form a rounded terminal with an elongated knop tip, there is a further expanded ridge 2/3 of the way down the bar, both of these expanded panels have a central rivet hole for suspension, both holes a encrusted in iron corrosion suggesting that that the rivets were made of iron. On the opposite lower end are two downward projecting pierced taps that would have mounted the harness pendent in between. Small patches of gilding is visible on the surface.

Copper alloy dagger quillon that consists of an oval shaped central block that has a rectangular pierced hole running through the centre, for the tang. Projecting from either side of the block are upwardly angled sub-globular arms with a concave depression on the top inside edge to accommodate the sides of the blade. Decorating the outside edge of each arm is a series of recessed vertical lines. This is most likely a kidney type dagger that was common in the 15th and 16th century.

Only the centre of the coin survives, the outer circle now missing. The uneven nature of the break suggests that this was not deliberately shaped but cracked around the inner circle, a weak point, after which the coin broke apart.

A copper-alloy vessel escutcheon, probably from a bucket or similar vessel. This artefact has a large inverted and slightly curved sub-triangular panel. The bottom corner of the triangle is truncated while the two top corners are slightly elongated with short tabs that project to the side. Emanating from the centre of the top edge is an upwards projecting thick loop that is heavily worn on the top of the inside edge. Traces of white metal are visible on the triangular panel. The shorter side (form the expansion) is 14mm long, and has a rectangular cross-section (2mm diameter) that narrows to a fine point; this side may have been used as a tang and could have been inserted into a socket.

Silver gilt dress pin with hollow cast spherical head, applied filigree and granulated ornament in the form of circlets punctuated by knops. A raised horizontal band divides the head in two equal hemispheres. The stem which emanates from the base of the sphere is complete and slightly bent. ~~Fragment of samian wall sherd, the outside is decorated in low relief possible depicting a foliate border. ~~The recorder is indebted to Robert Hopkins for he's following help with the identification of this vessel. 'This is almost certainly a Dr 37, and from South Gaul. The sherd is upside-down; the design is the basal wreath of a trifid plant motif. This type of wreath is common on Dr 37's of the Flavian Trajanic period, and in the date range of AD 75-110' (Hopkins, Pers comm, 2018)

~~Early Medieval, Anglo-Saxon iron sword blade fragment. This fragment has heavily corroded with truncated forward and rear ends, the blades are parallel and do no0t appear to taper suggesting that this would have come from somewhere in the middle of the sword. The edges of the blade are corroded and uneven, the spine of the sword appears to be flat although this heavily encrusted in corrosion.
