Copper alloy disc brooch which is made from a circular plate decorated with a raised central dot surrounded by curvilinear border forming a six pointed star motif that has roundels at each point, enclosing the whole plate is a raised linear border. The recessed exterior cell of the star would have been filled with light blue enamel, with small traces remaining. The recessed interior cell would have been filled with enamel, but no traces remain. On the reverse is the mount for the spring and the catch plate, both are truncated. This artefact dates to 80-250 AD.

Incomplete copper alloy Roman Large T-shaped brooch. Tubular wings hold the pin axis bar (one of the wings is missing), there is a slot in the centre of the wings at the rear for the pin, the pin is missing. The head of the bow has a central ridge with bevelled sides which rind down to a mounded knee of six transverse ridge, below the remainder of the bow is truncated .resulting in the loss of the catchplate.

Roman copper alloy trumpet brooch that has an oval head plate. On the reverse is a single pierced lug that would have held the spring support bar but the loop is now truncated resulting in the loss of the spring. The front of the headplate is decorated with three narrow oval panels infilled with blue enamel that radiate out from a central point. The bow emanates from the front of the head plate and has a moulded knee at the apex; below the bow is truncated resulting in the loss of the catch plate. Date 75-175AD

Copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill. It has rearward facing lugs on either end of the wings that hold the pin axis bar, the spring is made from eight curls, the pin is complete. A rearwards facing loop at the back of the head holds the external cord of the spring. Small shoulders flank the head. At the apex of the bow on both sides is a recessed semicircle that is filled with blue enamel, below this are two sets of double moulded and angled ridges that form a chevron pattern. The foot is globular and the catch plate on the reverse is closed. Date 80-120AD.
