Copper alloy figurine that depicts an upright seated bird with furled wings. The figurine has a sub- ovoidal shaped body which tapers towards the rear forming a flat upwardly pointing tail, the tip of which terminates in a rectangular cross-section. Running down the top of the body is an off centre ridge flanked by flattened chamfered sides that depict furled wings, the edges of each wing sits slightly proud of the side of the body, the top of the wings are decorated with a series of hatched lines to convey feathers. Copper alloy disc brooch which is made from a circular plate decorated with a raised central dot surrounded by curvilinear border forming a six pointed star motif that has roundels at each point, enclosing the whole plate is a raised linear border. The recessed exterior cell of the star would have been filled with light blue enamel, with small traces remaining. The recessed interior cell would have been filled with enamel, but no traces remain. On the reverse is the mount for the spring and the catch plate, both are truncated. This artefact dates to 80-250 AD.

The tie-ring has an oval loop (16mm long 12mm high) with a transverse flanged rectangular bar below (11mm long 5mm wide). Emanating from the base is a circular cross-section integral rivet, that has a expanded (mushroom) head created buy hammering the tip flat to secure it into place

A hoard of 108 copper alloy and Roman coins and 1 silver Roman coin. Almost all of the coins were 'nummi' (fourth century base metal coins) of the Valentinianic period (AD 364-378), apart from one silver coin (siliqua) of Valens, dating to the same period. In addition to this there were a small number of earlier Constantinian nummi and two late third century radiates, all of a size that could have potentially circulated with the hoard coins.
