~~Copper alloy annular brooch that has been decorated with an inscription on the top side consisting of eight letters, however, the object is heavily corroded resulting in the loss of all of the detail. There is a constriction in the frame for the pin, but the pin is now missing. Traces of gilding remains in patched on the frame. Although we now cannot read the inscription, traditionally these would have held a religious significance with AVE MARIA (Hail Mary) or variations of IHESVS NAZARENVS (Jesus of Nazareth) being popular inscriptions.
