Roman headstud type brooch fragment, c. AD 100-200, consisting of the wings, head ring, headstud and part of the bow. The headstud consist of a pellet set within an annulet. Cast lead alloy Dress Hook of Read's Class D Type 1e. The mount is tongue shaped, one face bearing a raised design consisting of a rectantular panel containing a recessed triangle and four small recesses forming a square. One of these appears to contain a pellet. Surrounding the rectangular panel is a band of fine, transverse lines. On the back of the object is a transverse, rectangular loop, now crushed and a projecting blob of lead. Through the object's length is an angled, 2.0mm diameter hole. Post Medieval cloth seal, one half of a two-disc lead seal, bearing, on its face, in raised letters the inscription 29//1//2. In the centre of the reverse is projection which would have extended through the other disc to form the seal. The lower surface bears a gridded pattern and a mould joint line runs across it. Post Medieval stud from a belt or strap. Lentoid with a hollow underside in the centre of which was an integrally cast pin, now missing. While fittings of this shape appear amongst Medieval assemblages the presence of the integrally cast pin is difficult to parallel and might fit best into a post Medieval context.

Medieval cast lead button, circular with a 8.0mm diameter central boss. On its back is an integrally cast loop set on top of a casting seam. Diameter 22.8mm, Thickness 1.8mm, Mass 7.06g. Read (2005, 17) cited parallels from thirteenth to fifteenth century contexts. While Egan and Pritchard ( 1991, Fig. 178) show no parallels for this button there are examples cast using the same three-part mould process.

Medieval casket mount, copper alloy with traces of iron nails/rivets. The object is Y shaped, one end being divided with a rivet hole in each limb. Its limbs are ornamented with lateral spurs with further spurs either side of the the main, slightly expanded, bar and at its end. The mount is heavily corroded with much loss of surface. Length 43.6mm, Width 18.3mm, Thickness 1.9mm, Mass 5.05g. A similar casket mount is illustrated by Egan (2010, 69, Fig. 50, No. 150) where it is dated to c. 1200-1230.
