Uninscribed gold quarter stater of Gallo-Belgic Continental type. The obverse is interpreted as a crescent-shaped boat with two standing occupants. This obverse form is generally associated with Gallo-Belgic tribes; see Rudd; Ancient British Coins (2010); p29; ABC 40. Circa 80-60 BC. Copper alloy double loop oval buckle with copper alloy attachment plate. The rectangular buckle plate is folded back on itself around the central bar of the buckle. The centre of the plate where it wraps around the bar has a rectangular slot cut into it to accommodate the pin which is now missing. The plate also has a central circular hole to affix the two halves of the plate and the strap. Similar examples are shown in Whitehead (2003, 53; nos.298/299) and dated there to c. 1350-1650 AD. Cast copper alloy stud or tack. In plan the face of the stud is sub-square in shape, formed by four corner lugs on a central circular body. Each of the lugs has a circular feature that appears to mimic a rivet. The central circular body has a saltire cross with a pellet at its centre and the spaces between the arms of the cross pierced to make an openwork design. Lead alloy disc probably a Post Medieval biface token. The object initially has the appearance of two discs that are slightly misaligned pressed together. This would be typical of a bag or cloth seal; however, there is no evidence of the two discs being separate or pierced diametrically and their double disc appearance is more probably the result of having been cast with the two halves of the mould out of register. A cast copper alloy Medieval bar mount. The mount consists of a sub circular bulbous body flanked by two diametrically opposed lobes with semi-circular ends. The ends are pierced with circular holes to accommodate fixing rivets, the remnants of which remain in situ. The front body of the mount is decorated with a series of transverse moulded grooves whilst the reverse is hollowed. Dimensions; length 20.15mm, width 12.0mm, thickness 6.1mm, weight 2.62g.
