Silver denarius of Septimius Severus (AD 193 - 211), dating to AD 203 (Reece Period 10), Obverse: SEVERVS PIVS AVG, laureate head right. Reverse: P M TR P XI COS III P P, Fortuna, seated left, holding rudder on globe and cornucopiae. Mint of Rome. RIC IV, pt 1, p. 116, no. 189b. 4 g. 22 mm. Almost Very Fine. The image suggests that the coin might be a plated copy but only inspection of the coin could confirm this.

An elongate bifacially flaked pick or axe-rough but dating to a probable mesolithic period, The object is made on a broken tabular nodule of probably opaque pale grey mottled flint, there is rough and often deep flaking on both faces resulting in centre axial ridges. Both faces retain traces of chalky cortex and both margins are markedly irregular and have traces of deliberate battering or dressing.
