A cast copper-alloy mount or strap fitting of early Medieval date. The object has a rectangular plate, split across the middle, with slightly concave upper sides extending into trefoil-shaped terminal pierced at the centre with a single rivet hole. One side is decorated with an abstract pattern of incised rope-work decoration, possibly in debased Ringerike style, suggestive of an 11th-century date.
