An incomplete Medieval to Post Medieval cast copper alloy single looped buckle, c 1250 - 1500 AD.The buckle frame is D shaped and has a recessed cylindrical strap bar flanked by small knop terminals; it has a v shaped grooved pin rest on its upper face. The buckle widens to the curve of the outer frame which is thickened, The pin is missing.The frame has a mottled mid green and brown patina. The buckle is 18mm long, 13.7 mm wide, 3.2 mm thick and weighs 1.68 grams.Similar buckles are illustrated in Ross Whitehead, Buckles 1250 - 1800(2003), page 19 numbers 61 - 64.

An incomplete early Post Medieval cast copper alloy single sharp-hooked clasp c. 16th -early 17th century AD. Read Class E, Type 1. The object is sub-rectangular in plan, in the centre is a raised rectangle with bevelled edges. The rectangle is surrounded by a shallow groove. This is flanked on one end by a rectangular loop and on the other end by a collar with a narrower projection of metal 6.6 mm long which terminates in an old break.
