Prehistoric flint knife or awl, probably of Neolithic date The knife is incomplete with the tip fragment represented (with a surviving length of 32.2mm, a maximum thickness of 4.0mm and a weight of 2.3g). Although the knife appears to have broken across its width (where it has a width of 15.5mm), there appears to be retouch over the break, perhaps suggesting the tip was deliberately backed and implying a possibly secondary use as an awl.
