An incomplete copper alloy Headstud brooch of Roman date, c.AD 75 - 200. The brooch consists of a rectangular flaring head with flat wings which is concave to the reverse with an integral semi-circular lug. This lug would have housed the spring/hinge mechanism though this no longer remains. A wired loop projects from head, integral to the lug, curving around to join the top of the head. A copper alloy toy Musket dating to the early Post-Medieval period, c.AD 1600 - 1640; corresponding to Forsyth and Egan (2005) Type 2, Design 1 Musket. The piece is cast as one with a fish-tail butt, unevenly faceted barrel, open circular pan and angular trigger guard. The top of the barrel is decorated with opposing wavy lines which appear to survive towards the base, there is also evidence of a transverse groove midway on the barrel. A copper alloy pot leg dating from the Medieval to Post-Medieval period, c.AD 1100 - 1850. The leg is trapezoidal in cross section, tapering downwards and terminating in an out-turned pad like foot. There is some evidence of two ribs running downwards along the outer pot leg. At the top of the leg there is an unidentifiable, irregular concretion which appears to be burnt onto the surface of the leg. An incomplete copper alloy single looped D shaped buckle dating to the Early Medieval to Medieval period, c.AD c.1000-1200. The buckle has a narrow off-set strap bar. The loop is widest in the centre and narrows towards the strap bar. There is no evidence of a pin or a pin recess. The loop has two projecting terminals which extend beyond the strap bar. The head is ovate and heavily corroded to the reverse where a spring of four turns can be seen, one of which extends to form a worn tapering pin. An incomplete copper-alloy 'fob dangler' dating from late Iron Age to early Roman period (c. 100 BC- 200 AD). The fob is circular with a two armed triskele design, with a small hole in the centre. On either side of the arms there are two openwork circles which connect the arms to the outer frame. The back of the fob is flattened, whilst the front is slightly raised. The fob is a brownish orange and in very good condition. The fob is 40.9mm in diameter, 4.1mm thick and weighs 18.1g. The bottom of the bow is decorated with a sub circular, flat bottomed knob. The bow itself has a raised ridge running down the middle, with another sub circular knob, decorated with three horizontal lines, at the top. The catch plate is triangular in shape and bent slightly on the outer edge. The brooch fragment is 37.9mm long, 12mm wide, 7.7mm thick and weighs 5.8g.
